First impression, not Japanese whatsoever. However, I wanted something hot and fast to eat so I got the Thai Noodles and the Chargrilled Chicken Udon. Something that was cool was that these noodles were served in ice cream like pints which was pretty memorable and cute.

Thai Noodles- It had potential, but didn't quite make the cut. The sauce was way too sweet, but had Thai flavors. The only reason this was remotely Japanese was because of the "udon" which wasn't thick enough to be called udon. Adding peas into the noodles just made it even more sweet. I would have appreciated it either being a soup or a dry noodle because there was too much sauce to be a soup or a dry noodle.

Chargrilled Chicken- I appreciated the meat in the dish, but weirdly, this tasted kind of like the Thai Noodles. They both had similar flavors which made it more Thai than Japanese. There was a lot of vegetables and the ratio of vegetables to noodles wasn't ideal.

Honestly, I wouldn't come here again. It had potential, but didn't execute it will.

I LOVE this place.  Clearly labeled vegan options, and several of them.

I just got a pre-made sushi platter from the refrigerated case but it was amazing.
My friends got soup and rice bowls (made to order) and they liked those as well.

The prices were really reasonable and the location was convenient. Really cute decor.
    Clean overall, and clean bathrooms.

I rarely give two stars but I must say, the food here is terrible. I thought it was a Japanese restaurant. How can you mess up on udon? Come on. It's just udon. First off, use udon noodles and not some pho noodles. Second, udon shouldn't taste like curry. And udon should never have ginger in it. Peas. Spinach. Udon doesn't have any of that! Call it something else but not udon. And the Korean bbq chicken wasn't good, especially with the coconut rice. That combination doesn't taste good at all. Korean BBQ cannot go with something sweet! Maybe the food is good for locals here, but for my picky taste, the food isn't good at all. I rather eat a sandwich at a coffee shop. For Thinsulin fans, all foods here spike insulin. I think it caters to healthy eaters here with gluten free ingredients, detox soups, etc., but all the food spike insulin. It doesn't make any sense to me. On the good side, the two cashiers were excellent and very nice.

I really love the detox soup. It's vegan, it's tasty, it's low in calories, and it's super cheap. What's not to love? Itsu is a go-to for me when I need a quick lunch in London.
